Tech-Savvy Christians Track Prayers with Twitter-like App
Christian Care Ministry Introduces Tech Tool to Connect Christians with Prayer Needs across the Globe
Christian Care Ministry launches PrayerStream, a free Twitter-like app where users instantly share prayer requests and updates with friends, family, their church community and Christians worldwide. PrayerStream allows users to:
Follow prayer requests and praise reports of individuals and groups via a Twitter-like feed
Build a public or private prayer stream for a family, church, neighborhood, Bible study or small group
Get alerts when someone commits to pray for a prayer request
Provide updates of prayer requests, including praise reports
Keep an electronic prayer journal
"The Bible tells us to pray continually and to carry each other's burdens," said Christian Care Ministry Chaplain John Small. "Our aim is for PrayerStream to help Christians more easily do just that for their neighbor across the street as well as their neighbor across the world."

For more than 19 years, Christian Care Ministry has brought Christians together to share medical bills through its Medi-Share program. At the heart of Christian Care Ministry, the developers of PrayerStream, is a mission to connect and equip Christians to carry each other’s burdens just as the early church did in the book of Acts.
"Praying for one another is a central element of all our programs," said Tony Meggs, president of Christian Care Ministry. "We created PrayerStream to allow not just our program participants but all Christians the ability to experience in real-time the comfort that comes from knowing someone is committed to praying for your needs."
