National Healthcare-Sharing Ministry Announces New CEO and Senior Ministry Leader

Christian Care Ministry, one of the world's largest healthcare-sharing ministries, has appointed Ted Squires as its new CEO and senior ministry leader. Squires has extensive experience leading Christian organizations and brings a fresh and proven approach to leadership at the organization most known for its Medi-Share program.

"I am confident Ted's proven track record of providing excellent leadership will help our growing organization continue to thrive," said Chairman of the Board Mick Gosdin.

A 30-year veteran of Christian publishing and ministry fundraising, Squires founded a Nashville-based consulting business in 2008 that serves leading Christian publishers, best-selling authors and national Christian ministries by developing new products and providing strategic counsel. He spent more than 20 years in leadership roles at Thomas Nelson Publishers and served with various Christian ministries over the years. In addition to his business accomplishments, Squires has dedicated the past three years to serving Christian Care Ministry as a board member. Ted also served as the national faith-based director for Dr. Ben Carson's presidential campaign.

"Christian Care Ministry, through Medi-Share, provides Christians with a remarkable solution to today's healthcare challenges," said Squires. "I look forward to helping this organization grow by continuing to serve members effectively, facilitating the sharing of medical bills and seeking new opportunities to help Christians bear one another's burdens."

Since 1993, Medi-Share members have shared more than $1 billion in medical expenses. Because of its large network of providers, members have saved an additional $540 million in medical costs and there are currently more than 212,000 members.

Christian Care Ministry has provided biblical healthcare solutions since 1993. More than just healthcare, it is a community of people who share their lives, faith, talents and resources, and pray for and encourage one another. It is a team of professionals who promote and support living a healthy, biblical lifestyle through Medi-Share and PrayerStream. For more information about Medi-Share, visit MyChristianCare.org.
