Public Lie in Repose at Graham Family Homeplace in Charlotte
POSTED: Feb. 25, 2018, 3:47 p.M. ET
On Monday, Feb. 26, and Tuesday, Feb. 27, the public will have an opportunity to honor Billy Graham from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. His body will lie in repose in a closed casket at the Graham Family Homeplace, located next to the Billy Graham Library.
The public lie in repose at the Graham Family Homeplace is open to credentialed media; however, media will be unable to conduct interviews inside the Graham Family Homeplace. The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association will make a pool feed from inside the Graham Family Homeplace available for media use. The plug-in for the pool feed will be in the satellite truck parking area.
The Graham Family Homeplace is where Billy Graham lived as a teenager in Charlotte. The house was built in 1927 by Graham's father, William Franklin Graham Sr., on the family's dairy farm on Park Road, a few miles south of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association headquarters. It was moved to its current location next to the Billy Graham Library in 2006. The home is original, including bricks, windows, hardwood floors and many items inside that date back to Graham's childhood.
Public Parking/Free Shuttle Information

The shuttles will transport guests to the front of the Graham Family Homeplace and return them to the off-site parking areas. There is no charge for parking or to use the shuttle buses. Shuttle service from the off-site parking areas will run from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. each day the public lie in repose is open.
Please allow extra time to accommodate long lines. Strollers, large backpacks and handbags, aerosols and spray bottles, and weapons of any kind can not be permitted. Personal cell phones and cameras are permitted on the grounds of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, but you will be asked to turn them off when entering the Billy Graham Library and Graham Family Homeplace. Due to the solemn nature of this occasion, guests are asked not to take photos, video or audio recordings inside the Library and Homeplace. Thank you for your cooperation.
