Steve Sterling: President and CEO, MAP International

As president and CEO, Steve Stirling has led MAP International's efforts to provide medicine and medical supplies to people in need around the world since 2014. Recognized as one of the most efficient and effective nonprofits by Charity Navigator, MAP International has provided $5 billion in medicines and medical supplies, working in more than 100 countries around the world.

Prior to joining MAP International, Stirling held several leadership positions at major corporations and nonprofit organizations including, most recently, executive vice president and chief administrative officer of ChildFund International, a leading international child development nongovernmental organization.

Stirling also held senior leadership positions with Heifer International, Universal Life Sciences, ChildHelp and, for five years, World Vision USA as vice president of marketing operations and executive director of major donor fundraising. He has experience working for over-the-counter pharmaceutical companies including J&J (Tylenol), American Home Products (Advil) and Bristol-Myers-Squibb/Mead Johnson Nutritionals (Boost Nutritional Drink), as well as marketing and sales experience with ConAgra Functional Foods (Culturelle Probiotics).

Stirling has a Master of Business Administration in marketing and finance from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics from Cornell University. He and his wife have two grown children and live in Brunswick, Georgia.
