Houston Couples Offered Opportunity to Build Stronger Marriages Through Weekend to Remember

Disaster Scholarships Available for Harvey-Affected Families

More than 1.5 million people in more than 90 locations have renewed and rediscovered the joy in their marriage with FamilyLife's Weekend to Remember. June 1 – 3, couples in the Houston area have the chance to experience a new sense of encouragement and hope, hear from compelling speakers, and learn practical tools to help build and grow their marriages.

Many Houston families are facing a different kind of strain nine months after Hurricane Harvey. With the effects of the storm still taking a toll on so many in the area and the impact that natural disasters can have on relationships, FamilyLife has established disaster relief scholarships to make it easier on victims of the storm to experience Weekend to Remember. For more information about the scholarships and to apply to receive up to 100 percent of the registration fee, call 800.358.6329.

"My wife and I have been participating in Weekend to Remember since 2016," said conference volunteer Curtis Frodge. "Seeing how Hurricane Harvey devastated this city and the strain it has put on so many people, we immediately began working with FamilyLife to help provide scholarships. We want people who are still recovering physically and emotionally from loss and devastation to be given the chance to fortify their marriages and better endure the ongoing hardships together."

Beginning Friday evening and concluding on Sunday afternoon, Weekend to Remember will take place at Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria. Attendees are encouraged to take advantage of the hotel setting and check-in for the weekend, maximizing their time away from distractions and daily life as they reconnect with one another.
