Private Funeral Service for Billy Graham
UpdaTED: March 1, 2018, 8:26 a.M. ET
A private funeral service for Billy Graham will be held in a tent outside the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte. The tent is symbolic of the "canvas cathedral" in which Graham conducted his 1949 Los Angeles Crusade that lasted eight weeks and propelled him to national prominence. Invited guests will include family, friends and dignitaries. (Attendance at the funeral is by invitation only.)
This service is open to credentialed media and closed to the public. However, a separate, funeral-specific credential is required for media to come on the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association property on funeral day, Friday, March 2. Applications for funeral media credentials are no longer being accepted.
