Private Family Viewing at Billy Graham Library in Charlotte

POSTED: Feb. 22, 2018, 1:18 P.M. ET

When Billy Graham's body arrives at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association headquarters in Charlotte, it will be moved from the hearse to the Billy Graham Library. Members of Graham's family, serving as pallbearers, will accompany the casket as it is moved (open to credentialed media). A private family viewing will then be held inside the Billy Graham Library (closed to media).

The Billy Graham Library depicts the life of evangelist Billy Graham and his ministry, which reached some 215 million people on six continents. The Billy Graham Library houses rare film footage and more than 350 photographs, depicting Billy Graham's historic evangelistic events; his pioneering use of radio, TV and films; meetings with presidents and other world leaders; and an archive of Graham's personal papers giving a glimpse into his private life.

The private family viewing is closed to media.

The public will have an opportunity to honor Billy Graham and support the family at the Graham Family Homeplace (located next to the Billy Graham Library) on Monday, Feb. 26, and Tuesday, Feb. 27, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. This will be open to credentialed media, but media will be unable to conduct interviews inside the Graham Family Homeplace.
